LECTURE | The Mountain Gorilla: The Magic of the Virunga Forests
A visual journey to the heart of the Virunga Mountains, where mountain gorillas—one of the most fascinating and vulnerable animals on the planet—survive amidst volcanoes, mist and human conflict.
Drawing on personal experiences in Uganda and Rwanda, this talk offers an insight into the private lives of these gentle giants, their complex social structure, and the conservation efforts that have enabled their populations to recover. Through the photographs, we will seek to gain a deeper understanding of these incredible animals, masterfully captured in the pioneering work of George Schaller and Dian Fossey.
A unique opportunity to discover, through images and stories, the beauty, fragility and hope that dwell in the forests of Virunga.
