Photography doesn’t depend on the size of the camera, but on the eye. As Chase Jarvis said, “The best camera is the one you have with you,” and it’s a truth that every photographer faces sooner or later. There are moments that don’t wait: they happen unannounced, last an instant, and disappear forever.
I don’t always carry all my equipment with me, but I do carry something equally important: the ability to observe. Henri Cartier-Bresson spoke of the decisive moment, that exact point where the scene, the light, and the meaning align. When that happens, the essential thing is to be present and shoot, whether with a professional camera or your phone’s camera.
This section exists because I believe in that idea. Because a good photograph is born from intuition, from the eye, and from the moment, not from the device. And because many of the most sincere, spontaneous, and human images arise precisely when you’re not thinking about taking photos and you only have your phone at hand.
